Shatha Jayyousi is the leader of the Jordanian chapter of “Arab Women in Computing” which organizes sessions to reach out to young women to encourage them to enrol in STEM education by providing mentors and role models. Shatha is also the Vice President of the Department of State’s Jordanian Alumni Association and also the Manager of Customer Management Solutions at Orange Jordan. Throughout her career, she has led software development and implementations in a variety of industries including insurance, finance, medicine and telecom. Her main goal is to build a community of women that empower other women through mentorship. In this spirit, Shatha was a mentor in the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition of 2015 in which her mentee won third place. In addition, Shatha is on the advisory board of the US Department of State’s “SheCap” project that was awarded to Jordan in 2015.
