ETHAN CHORIN

Dr. Ethan Chorin is CEO of Perim Associates, which provides innovative conflict-mitigation, healthcare and environmental policy solutions to governments and international businesses. Before founding Perim in 2013, Chorin spent nearly 20 years in the Middle East and Africa working for the US Department of State, DP World and Royal-Dutch Shell.  He is the author of two books, Translating Libya and Exit the Colonel: The Hidden History of the Libyan Revolution. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy and Forbes. Chorin holds a PhD from UC Berkeley in Agriculture and Resource Economics, an MA from Stanford in International Policy Studies, and a BA from Yale in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures.
