Dr Nadina Christopoulou is the founder and director of the Melissa Network in Athens. Dr Christopoulou holds an MPhil and PhD from Cambridge University and a B.A. from McGill University. She founded the Melissa Network of Migrant Women in Greece in 2014 with the involvement of migrant women leaders and today counts members from over 45 countries. The purpose of the Melissa Network is to promote the empowerment, communication and active participation of migrant and refugee women and to reverse negative stereotypes and make their distinct voices heard.
